Charities
NS regularly receives requests to support charities. We believe it is important to back these initiatives, but unfortunately cannot meet all requests. Therefore, we mainly work with a number of charities where public transport plays a clear role.
These include organisations supporting people with visual impairments, as well as initiatives focused on Alzheimer’s, dementia and suicide prevention.
Rail wish days
Together with ProRail, we organise the Spoorwensdagen every year. During this two-day event, we fulfil rail-related wishes. More than 200 volunteers from NS and ProRail assist the wish applicants to ensure they have an unforgettable day.
